# 27. ROMAN SHARD & OPALITE ROSARY
A real collectors item!
8mm faceted Opalite (synthetic Opal), milky-clear with a bluish interior glow, has an ethereal, other-worldly quality. Many beads show a flash of "fire", just like real Opals! The 13x9mm faceted Opalite rondelles are capped in hand crafted Bali Sterling Silver , with 4mm Opalite accents. The 1 3/4" Roman cross and 1" Roman center, containing rare shard glass*(see note) discovered in archeological excavations in the Holy Land of ancient Roman ruins from the time of Christ, are available only in Sterling Silver and only as a matched set. NOTE: As archeologists uncover glass artifacts around Roman ruins in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Hebron and Masada, any in-tact bottles and phials are transfered to museums. The fragments of this rare and ancient glass are collected and sold to jewelry makers or collectors. They are then cut into desired shapes and Sterling Silver components have been designed around them. The glass has a pearlescent patina from being buried in the ground, along with their contents such as perfume and oils, for over 2000 years.

#28. CELERY JADE & CLOISONNE ROSARY
Very nice to pray on as the Cloisonne bead can spin
inside the bead frame as you rub your thumb on it.
8mm pale green Celery Jade is complimented by 8mm red Cloisonne with pink and green floral design, enclosed inside hand made Sterling Silver 10x15mm bead frames for a very unique look and makes it very nice to pray with because as you rub your thumb over the Cloisonne, it spins inside the bead frame. The 2 1/4" Loops and Flowers Crucifix and 7/8" 3D Raised Image of Mary center are hand cast from antique rosary components, available only by special order and only as a matched set. #29. CAPE AMETHYST & LAMPWORKED GLASS ROSARY
8mm Faceted Cape Amethyst, a lovely lavender color, is combined with large rondelle Lampworked glass with a lavender tint and pink petal flowers inside the glass, capped in Bali silver and accented with fresh water Pearls and pink Quartz. The 2 3/8" Deluxe Floral Crucifix and 3/4" Floral Swag Miraculous Medal complete the design. Lavender Amethyst is a recognized birthstone for June.

#30. TURQUOISE, AMBER & CORAL ROSARY
5x7mm Turquoise tubes and Baltic Amber rondelles with Bali Silver caps tipped with red Coral. This rosary has a "southwest" look, very appealing to teenagers, and equally appropriate for a man or woman. The 1 3/4" Small Filigree center and 5/8" Small Filigree crucifix compliment its design. Turquoise is a recognized birthstone for December.

*NOTE: Most turquoise is soft and porous when it is mined. Untreated Turquoise is a fragile stone with a tendency to develop undesirable color changes when it is exposed to light, perspiration, oils and detergent. It is penetrated with resin for durability. This serves to harden the stone and enhance its color, as well as help prevent the absorption of body oils and deterioration from chemicals.
