7mm Turquoise (*see note below) with 10x7mm Lampworked glass which has a red core with pink roses sealed under clear glass, capped in Bali Silver with Mother of Pearl accents. The 1 1/2" Our Lady of Guadalupe center and 2 1/4" Four Roses crucifix are Sterling Silver hand cast from vintage rosary components, available only as a matched set and only by special order. The 4 roses on the crucifix represent Our Lady's 4 apparitions to St. Juan Diego on the hill of Tepayac outside of Mexico City. The Turquoise represents the color of her mantle, the red glass with pink roses represents her dress and the roses that she made appear for Juan Diego to take to the Bishop, and the unbleached Mother of Pearl represents Juan Diego's cloak of rough hewn fabric upon which Our Lady caused the miraculous image to appear.

*NOTE: Chalk Turquoise is soft and porous when it is mined. It is pale and has very little matrix. It is stabilized with resin, which improves its durability, as well as prevent the absorption of body oils and deterioration from chemicals. The stabilization process hardens chalk Turquoise and adds color, giving it the same appearance as Sleeping Beauty Turquoise and Persian Turquoise - which cost about $400 a string - at a fraction of the price.

7mm Lapis Lazuli (brilliant royal blue with gold Pyrite and white Calcite) with 8-9mm blue lampworked glass with pink rose designs embedded under the glass, capped in Bali silver and Mother of Pearl. You may have 5mm "button" Fresh Water Pearls instead of Mother of Pearl if you wish. Tiny Lapis Lazuli beads accent the Ribbon Edge Miraculous Center and Deluxe Floral crucifix

Lapis Lazuli is a complex stone composed of 3 minerals: Lazurite (Royal to Navy blue), Pyrite (also known as "fool's gold"), and Calcite (usually white but may be yellow or gray). The proportion of these three minerals is part of what determines it's quality. Lazurite should be predominant and while large areas of Calcite or Pyrite detract from its value, small flecks or veins, particularly of Pyrite, often enhance its value. Since ancient times, Lapis Lazuli has been the stone of Royalty, perhaps best known for its use in the funeral mask of Egyptian Pharoah Tutahnkamun, it was also described as part of the breastplate of Aaron in the Old Testament. Lapis Lazuli is a recognized birthstone for both September and December.
